Natalie is a Northern Illinois native and University of Illinois graduate, now serving as a Nurse Practitioner at Tucson Medical Center. With clinical expertise spanning pediatrics, emergency medicine, primary care, urgent care, and wound care, she also leads ambulatory RNs and Telehealth NPs. Her leadership has driven impactful initiatives addressing social determinants of health and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations. A 2024 Nurse Trust E3 Fellow, Natalie is passionate about leveraging AI to reduce clinician burnout through innovative medical scribe technology. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor exercise and quality time with her two children, significant other, and two Doodles.

Dr. Dunbar-Jacob is Dean Emeritus and Distinguished Service Professor of Nursing, as well as professor of Psychology, Epidemiology, and Occupational Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. She was the dean of the School of Nursing from 2001 to 2022. She is an advisory professor at the University of Fudan in Shanghai, China, honorary professor of Nursing at Capital Medical University in Beijing, and visiting professor in Nursing at Taipei Medical University in Taipei, Taiwan.

JUNE 2024 Providing an Empathetic Learning Experience for Nurses Speaker: Nancy Bellucci, PhD, MSN-Ed, MS, RN, CNE, CNOR - Academic Program Director - Columbia Southern University Description: This presentation will emphasize the importance of inclusivity in the nursing classroom. It will discuss design thinking and empathetic instructional design and the role empathy plays in course design. The presentation will share methods for embedding inclusivity and promoting critical awareness in the nursing educational environment while remaining empathetic to student needs.
May 2024 Invisible to Visible Speakers: John Lowe, RN, PhD, FAAN, The University of Texas, Austin, Texas and Rose M. Wimbish-Tompkins (Cirilo), PhD, University of Texas at Austin – Steve Hicks School of Social Work Description: This presentation will share the historical and sociocultural impact on the health of marginalized and invisible Native American tribes. Many tribal communities that have remained invisible are beginning the journey to becoming visible. The Health Survey Project funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is an example of approaches to bring visibility to the health needs of marginalized tribes.
