History

  • With the closure of the Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Executive Nurse Fellowship (ENF) Program, an ENF Alumni Association was established with the Alumni Board: Jerry Mansfield (President), Lisa Scarlata (President Elect), Jerry Spicer (Treasurer), Jodi Joyce (Bylaws), and Marcella McKay (Membership).
  • January 2018: At the Alumni Board Meeting, members voted to approve transitioning the RWJ ENF Alumni Association to a 501(c)(3). Thus, the legacy of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellows (ENF) Program is in part NurseTRUST.
  • February 13, 2018: NurseTRUST was established and incorporated as a not-for-profit.
  • April 20, 2018: IRS Approval of NurseTRUST as non-profit 501(c)(3).
  • NurseTRUST has expedited non-profit status which capped revenue at $50,000/yr for the 1st 3 years (2018, 2019, 2020) of operation.
  • NurseTRUST’s name reflects the prestigious Gallup poll of being the 'most trusted profession' (now 19 years in a row). Honoring Robert Wood Johnson Foundation belief that nursing, the most trusted profession, is well equipped to influence the future of healthcare.
  • Since inception, an agreement with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), a non-profit, educational institution provided operational and strategic support.
  • In July 2022, management support was transitioned to AMR Management Services.
